QISKIT FALL FEST

2026

AT IEM

Chi(r)ps: A Decade of Harmony on the Cloud. This year’s QFF theme at IEM honors IBM’s 2026 milestone—ten years of quantum computing on the cloud! It creatively connects to a powerful vibrant metaphor: IBM’s quantum chips themselves are named after birds, reflecting how engineers actually tune these machines. In celebrating this milestone, the theme highlights both the evolution of quantum hardware and the flourishing of the global quantum community.

NOVEMBER 9, 10, AND 11, 2026 | IEM KOLKATA

Come join us this fall! At Institute of Engineering and Management, Kolkata and virtually.

THE CENTURY OF QUANTUM

A DECADE OF QUANTUM ON THE CLOUD, 2016-2026

Quantum computing is moving from theoretical physics to practical application, and the Qiskit Fall Fest is a global series of events designed to democratize access to quantum education. In 2026, we are proud to host this monumental gathering at the Institute of Engineering & Management (IEM), in collaboration with industry leaders like IBM Quantum.

By connecting advanced hardware engineering with collaborative growth, QFF26 celebrates a decade of cloud quantum computing as a shared flight path: from early prototypes to frontier processors, from isolated labs to a global chorus of students, researchers, and developers.

ABOUT THE HACKATHON

NOV 10, 2026, 10:00 PM IST – NOV 11, 2026, 10:00 PM IST | Virtual

Theme: Chi(r)ps and Qreativity!

Medicine, banking, and supply chains wage a constant war on quantum noise... pouring millions into error-correction to force reality to behave. Art operates on the exact reverse principle.

While every sector treats quantum randomness as a catastrophe demanding strict determinism, creativity thrives on it. Superposition, interference, and collapse aren't bugs here; they are the heartbeat of the canvas itself. A stray glitch in a clinical algorithm is a life-threatening hazard. A stray glitch in a qreative beat? That's the hook!

More info about the hackathon coming soon!

Deadline: October 2, 2026
